We’ve been watching the progress of the new Missoula Art Park project downtown – and we’re so excited to see completion is finally on the near horizon!
We hope you’ll join us Friday, April 21 (yep, that’s Earth Day) for the opening dedication and celebration.
Hosted by the Missoula Art Museum, the City of Missoula and Adventure Cycling, the ceremony will be your first chance to explore the new Art Park and to meet the inaugural artists of the outdoor art installation.
The inaugural exhibition at the new park is titled By the Bike. It honors the museum’s partnership with Adventure Cycling and features sculptures made with or inspired by bicycles. The pieces are expected to be installed during the week of April 17, and will stay until Nov. 4 – after which, a new exhibit will be installed.Earth Day Weekend 2017
Plans for the public dedication on April 21 include a tree-planting ceremony, live music – and of course lots of food and refreshments! It will run 4:30-7:30 pm at the park, which is adjacent to the art museum – a block off of Higgins Avenue on E Pine St, downtown.
