First Night Missoula!! Since 1994 this music and arts festival has delighted folks of all ages with a full day and evening of music, comedy , dance and more!

There’s something for everyone. Seriously, there’s 20 venues and 60 local artists featured! You can start your day with the kiddos enjoying free rides on the Carousel for Missoula, get their face painted at the UC on campus, enjoy free games in their game room, free admission at Spectrum Discovery Center, take a dip at Currents Aquatic Center, or $5 skating at Glacier Ice Rink. Don’t miss all the local talent too!

Our premier New Years Eve festival will keep you dancing with all kinds of music like MAMA Presents and a Bluegrass Festival at Free Cycles. If you’re downtown head over to the Union Hall for sets by locals like Dan Dubuque and Aran Buzzas, or if you’re up on campus musicians like Josh Farmer, Heather Harp, Trillium Bass will be rockin the UM Recital Hall. Did we mention the KUNG FU marathon at the Roxy? Yeah they’ve got that too, or learn to blacksmith in the Freecycles courtyard! Get your funny bone tickled and laugh along with local comedians at the Last Comedy Show on Earth, hosted by Homegrown Comedy at the new ZACC!  Plus the ART! Learn how to screenprint with the ZAAC, or create a Peace Luminaria at Caras Park!

104.5 the U is a proud sponsor of First Night Spotlight 8:30 pm at the Dennison Theatre, a music talent competition, where local area high schoolers take the stage under the spotlight at the Dennison Theatre for a chance to share their passion for music with family and friends! There are cash prizes available, a people’s choice award and a live radio interview for the winner! It’s so much fun and Aubrey on the U will be hosting along with her friend Tommy Evans from the Trail 103.3!
