Give the Gift of Local 2021

11/05/2021 By Aubrey

104.5 the U encourages our listeners to shop local this holiday season! When you support local artists and local businesses you make a serious impact in our community! If half of our community spent $100 with a locally owned business this holiday season, that would pump over 3 million dollars into our local economy. Supporting local means more money stays in our area, echoing further. There are hundreds of wonderful local artisans and businesses who have product here in town, right now, not sitting in shipping containers out on cargo ships in the ocean. You can actually make a difference for a local artist, with each purchase they do an actual happy dance, you’re helping that local maker buy groceries, make rent and afford more supplies. It makes our hearts feel good to shop local, increasing the richest man in the worlds profit margin? Not so much.
THANK YOU SO MUCH TO ALL WHO ENTERED! BIG CONGRATS TO LISTENER AMANDA ATTARD!
